CONTECH Digital Polarimeter is a fully automatic instrument and eliminates the need for manual adjustments thus offering a high degree of measurement precision.

The polarized light after advancing through the sample, descending on the analyzer, departs from the optical zero position to the position of optical rotation of the sample. The photomultiplier detector will generate an electrical signal with the frequency equivalent to the optical rotation of the sample.

To gain the zero position, this signal advances through the specific frequency circuit and power amplifier, drives the servo-motor & in turn the analyzer.

The analyzer rotation is calculated by an encoder and is displayed on the digital readout as the optical rotation of the sample.
